Landed at Logan Airport, Boston
Provincetown III ferry ride from Boston
Map of the boat position as we travelled.
Met a guy from Chicago on the way over.
Took a selfie when we got to shore
Carried our luggage from the dock to the house Jamie & Phillip rented, not realizing how far it was. (1.5 miles)
Our place at 2 Commercial Street (or 1 Pilgrims Landing)
Around the side is the actual main entrance
The house across from ours was VERY modern.
Walking in the front door, we have the lounge, kitchen and dining room.
The dining table seats 8 with a mirrored surface
Bill loved the disco ball vase in the corner
Upstairs from the front door, we find the TV lounge
The synthetic rug is probably easy to wash
Art by Cassandra Complex. She is a popular Provincetown artist.
Next we walk into the ensuite for the primary bedroom. The shower is very big.
The toilets were very... involved.
The best part was the narrow wood panels on either side of the sink...
...which slid out to reveal huge storage racks for all the goodies.
Next we move into the primary bedroom
The zebra rug made a statement
Going down the second staircase at the back of the house, we come to a guest bedroom
Next door was a larger guest bedroom that we used
Above the headboard was an artistic display of Tom Ford sunglasses
The downstairs bathroom had green metallic wallpaper with peacocks
Our room and the kitchen both have doors to the back patio
Joe and John came over for dinner. They are also from DC. Joe is holding a bag of white wine, we swear.
On Sunday, Bill, Jamie & Phillip went for a walk across the breakwater
Selfie time!
Bill looking studly
Gotta get the shot
Pictures or it didn't happen!
It's a long breakwater
Looking back toward Provincetown

Stained glass windows are more expensive than I thought. These are around $1,000.
Provincetown draws a diverse crowd
Watch out for the bee!
Pride bunting
This looks like a 'hardy hibiscus' because the flowers are HUGE! About 1 foot across.
Jamie & Phillip rented bikes
These posts were all over Ptown
Phillip & Jamie at the Boatslip
Went to The Canteen for lobster rolls
Phillip and Jamie at the register. Bill is behind the pole.

Another night, Phillip prepared skewers on the grill out back
Yet another night, Rob's bleu cheese burger
Frozen lemonade
Rob posed like Ken (ok, Barbie) in a box promoting the new movie
August 31 was the super blue moon. (Super = close to earth, blue = second full moon this month) This makes the tides especially high and low all week.
Big moon makes this house look scary
Gift shop
A big star decoration in someone's front yard.
Overgrown Pilgrims Landing marker looks creepy
Lighthouse across the water
Our place in the dark
Provincetown Inn sign at night
Provincetown Fudge Factory. Rob stopped here a LOT.
Dinner at Heaven by candle light
Before leaving Ptown, we had to stop at the Lobster Pot for lunch. Bill had a lobster Reuben
Rob had the clam chowder
After a bus ride to Hyannis, our vacation moved to Karen's cottage in Barnstable.
Bill and Karen pose out front
Cottage
Karen says goodbye to Lisa
Sean stopped by to help his mom find something in the attic.
Lobster pot above the fridge
Burgers on the grill for dinner. Who knows how to operate a charcoal grill?
Little bunnies nibbling in the front yard
This was a huge Christmas Tree Store before the chain went bankrupt
Little shop in downtown Barnstable
Wooden ride-on train
Went to the neighborhood beach down the street to meet up with family and friends.
That's cousin Ann, her son Jamie and his daughter Lorelei.
Lorelei is crocheting a spider web top
Tom is married to Ann's daughter Jen.
Karen soaking up the sun
Extra high tide means some wet butts
Just above the high tide line. Hopefully.
Looking across to Sandy Neck

More sailboats
The super blue moon makes the tides especially high and low.

One more peek-a-boo before setting
Sun setting for real
There was a fireworks show in Hyannis. Traffic was bad and we gave up on seeing it, but then we got a great view from the CVS parking lot!
Boom!
We call this one 'the tire'.
More boom
Pow!
Ooo!
Aah!
